An 8th Degree Black Belt, retired U.S. Army Captain, Combat Veteran, Registered Nurse; BSN/RN, 1997 World Martial Arts Hall of Fame Inductee, former Special Forces and Master Fitness Instructor, former FLEO and Valencia College PE Adjunct, the areas ONLY Kukkiwon World Taekwondo & Korean Hapkido Federation Internationally Certified Master and Kukkiwon Poom Dan Promotion Examiner, has trained and taught Taekwondo & Hapkido across the globe for over 45 years since 1977, including teaching elements of the First Infantry Division (FWD) prior to the 1991 Gulf War, and U.S. & British Special Forces in Iraq 2008 & 09. Master Nelson is committed to instilling traditional self-discipline, self-defense, physical fitness, social education, self improvement skills, and Warrior Ethos of Korean Martial Arts while enjoying the fun, excitement, speed, power, grace, and unlimited benefits of Taekwondo & Hapkido.

In Taekwondo, by extension, the Founder of Moo Duk Kwan, GM Kee, Hwan; his student, Vice President of the Korea Taekwondo Assn. and the World Headquarters Kukkiwon, 3rd President of the Taekwondo Moo Duk Kwan, GM Hong, Chong Soo; and his student, my lifetime teacher GM Do, Jae Sun, 9th Dan, Phd., International Referee, Author & Founder (too many titles to mention); Founder of the US Chungdokwan and Highest Ranking non Asian in the world GM Edward B. Sell; Florida Taekwondo Association President, three time Korean light weight champion, and multi Pan American and Olympic Team Coach, GM Oh Joo Yul, and of course the multitude of experts and professors at the World Taekwondo Academy Kukkiwon.
In Hapkido, the "Founder" GM Ji Han Jae, and multiple direct students, GM Kwang Sik Myung, GM Chong Min Lee, and others.
